The purpose of the role
The Supply Chain Specialist has broad ranging responsibilities in all aspects of Supply Chain and is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day supply chain business results are achieved. This role combines analysis and reporting along with hands-on application within each of the departments in Supply Chain in order to ensure excellence in the overall performance of the operations. This position will be providing backup and support to key positions within the Supply Chain team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the achievement of Procurement KPI.
- Lead continuous improvement process in the procurement and the purchasing areas in order to enhance the efficiency of the whole supply chain department; and align working practices with other European sites.
- Continually review ways and means to improve the Griffith Working Capital and supply processes with 3rd parties.
- Lead the CAPEX proposal in the Supply Chain department.
- To document purchasing processes for their standardization.
- Lead monthly Slow-Moving Stock meeting and work on alternative ways to reduce and minimize the exposure.
- Lead for any other projects outlined with internal stakeholders.
- Backup for other members of the SC Team
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Master degree would be a plus.
- Previous experience as a data analyst or a similar role with functions such as data mining, analysis and reporting.
- People management skills and coordination of cross functional projects.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases, ERP systems, Lean and Six Sigma.
- Analytical mind; problem solving and excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish. Italian and French are valuable.
