Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation is looking for a Treasury and Accounting Specialist to join the team! 
The Treasury and Accounting Specialist will perform various treasury and general accounting functions. These responsibilities require the Specialist to work closely with the Operations Accounting groups and our banking partners. 
The Specialist will be involved with transactional level processes across different business units and will complete ad hoc projects under the direction of the Manager or Corporate Accounting and Treasury Operations.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Audit and approve vendor set up requests
  •  Prepare daily cash status notification
  •  Upload daily bank files to our online banking system
  •  Create monthly billing statement for various BUs
  •  Apply incoming cash receipts for BUs
  •  Prepare month end reports to support BU close
  •  Field questions related to Payables and Receivables
  •  Perform quarterly bank access review
  •  Liaise with bank to resolve Treasury related inquiries
  •  Manage Corporate Credit Card and SUA programs
  •  Identify control gaps and work with Manager to mitigate risk
  •  Lead or assist with various treasury or accounting projects assigned by the Manager of Corporate Accounting and Treasury Operations

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • Treasury or banking experience required
  • Basic knowledge of General Accounting Principles is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • 2-5 years’ experience in the general accounting field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products, especially strong
  • Excel skills including ability to use VLOOKUP function and Pivot Tables
  • Exposure and experience with Accounting ERPs
  • Ability to extract data with system queries
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to pay sharp attention to detail
  •  Self-Starter, ability to work independently
