Odyssey is looking for a Freight Invoice Audit Specialist I who will be responsible for auditing and reconciling Odyssey’s clients freight bills so that payments to carriers are approved timely and correctly. The audit process will require the auditor to process all failures to include cost and non-cost. Other responsibilities of the Freight Invoice Audit Specialist I include resolving any billing discrepancies with carriers and correcting discrepancies in Customer shipment data when failing to pass system validations.  



Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • High school diploma required. Four-year college degree a plus.

  • Knowledge of general transportation rules and regulations a plus.

  • Prior experience in Auditing/Accounting a plus.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple critical projects simultaneously.

  • Good analytical skills in identifying areas for cost improvement or cost avoidance.

  • MS Office expertise, including strong Excel skills. Excellent data analysis skills using word processing software, spreadsheets, e-mail and the Internet.

  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with the willingness and ability to identify process improvements.

  • Ability to extract data from carrier pricing diskettes and manipulate data using Excel and other software programs.

  • Must possess recordkeeping administration experience.
