Sphera EC4P is an award-winning cloud-based compliance platform and environmental consultancy, focussed on helping electronics manufacturers minimise the environmental impact of their products at end-of-life. Our software solution provides a single interface for 330+ compliance recycling schemes around the world and we need your technical skills to help us take our Quality Assurance systems to the next level, provide valued support to Senior Developers and develop responsibilities for your own software enhancements, refactors and extensions.

  • Work as part of an agile development team to design, develop, test, and deliver our exciting and modern Laravel & Vue web applications.
  • Build upon your working knowledge of modern web application development technologies including the Laravel PHP and Vue JavaScript frameworks
  • Participate in the development and extension of our software Quality Assurance systems (Unit and E2E test suites, Continuous Integration etc.)
  • Collaborate with Product Manager, Senior Developers and Consulting Team to help define requirements, deliverables, and milestones for your development projects.
  • Research technologies, produce proof of concepts and identify opportunities to improve existing software codebase.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as necessary.

  • Eligible to live and work in the UK and located in the Bath/Bristol area.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of backend tech: PHP (7/8), MySQL, provisioning servers.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of front-end tech: JavaScript (ES6), HTML and CSS.
  • Knowledge and understanding of automated testing processes.
  • Experience with Git version control system.
  • Great communicator with a desire to work in a creative, Agile manner.
  • Knowledge and experience with Laravel PHP framework desirable but not required.
  • Excellent English language communication skills.

Successful candidates will be required to complete an assessment task and provide examples of relevant previous coding/projects.
