Director Marketing
Job Title: Marketing Director, Plant Based Food & Beverage
FLSA Status (US): Exempt

Reports To: Vice President and Assistant General Manager – Plant Based Food & Beverage
Summary:
The Marketing Director will be responsible for delivering the platform’s financial objectives – top and bottom line - through implementing PBFB’s strategic imperatives to drive short & long term growth. In addition, this person is responsible for defining the platform’s go-to-market strategy and leading the execution of business and customer initiatives through partnership with Sales, R&D, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive business growth with short and long term ideas & execution
Deliver platform revenue and gross margin targets, including gap solving when necessary
Manage channel strategy for retail, food service, and coman to maximize revenue and gross margins
Partner with sales to prioritize & drive key customer initiatives
Understand consumer and customer trends across retail and food service; emphasis on plant based space
Responsible for effectively forecasting and working with demand and supply planning through the S&OP process
Prioritize product/customer requirements and capacity needs with Sales, R&D and Operations
Lead financial analysis to communicate business drivers and inform decision making
Support strategic planning process and annual operating plan development
Anticipate future business needs and gain alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional partners
Accountability for cross functional commercialization activities; partnering with Regulatory, R&D, Finance, Sales, Operations and other cross-functional teams to execute projects through the plants into market
Coach and develop team and cross-functional partners to retain and develop talent

Qualifications:
Minimum of eight years of General Management, Marketing, and/or Product Management combined relevant experience. Manufacturing, Food/Ag, CPG, a plus.
Strong Business Acumen with a proven track record of delivering revenue and profit growth
Strong project management skills
Solid understanding of Food and Manufacturing
Excellent communication skills
Ability to be customer facing
Excellent analytical skills
Strong initiative and desire to achieve results
Consumer-centric thinker – superior understanding of Sales and Consumer Insights
Strong Leadership Potential – critical that the candidate can assume additional responsibilities in the future which may include assignment scope expansion and promotion within the organization

Understanding of the role Private Brands plays with customers and consumers
Management Skills – demonstrable experience rallying a team behind initiatives and ensuring that all details are diligently managed from ideation to commercialization

Strong sense of urgency and an entrepreneurial mindset

Up to 25% travel required
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business;MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum of eight years of General Management, Marketing, and/or Product Management combined relevant experience. Manufacturing, Food/Ag, CPG, Retail Food, a plus.
Must have at least 5 years of experience within the marketing field in the consumer packaged goods and/or a related industry (grocery, foodservice, food/ingredients manufacturing, food/ingredients distribution)
Travel Requirements:
25% plus travel required
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Approximately 90% of work is performed in an office environment and 10% outside of office in a manufacturing setting
