Business Analytics Analyst 1-WalMart
JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analytics Analyst 1 reports directly to and will provide analytical insights to our Business Analytics Analyst 2. The position will add perspective and value to running sales reports for the Field Sales Organization and will also include creating and implementing Excel spreadsheets that support such activities as verifying distribution levels and sales goal updates of company brand priorities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Pull data from available resources and build presentations that incorporate market conditions that are used to analyze and support TWG brands in Walmart.
Assessing how our brands perform in Walmart versus the entire marketplace, or brand recommendations that would potentially grow the share of a potential category if distribution is added of a performing brand in a selected market.
Assist with implementation of purchase orders, support our distributor network forecasting and securing inventory levels that meet demand in the marketplace, and also effectively communicating with the TWG customer service staff to help address market level issues where they may arise.
Ability to analyze POS sales and depletion data. Determine and communicate meaningful insights to sales team. Leaning how to work and navigate in systems (VIP).
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Ability to develop selling presentations to support customer appointments in Power Point or MS Office Products based programs
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively at once
Utilize high-level analytical ability and creativity to analyze complex/new situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related disciplines preferred
Problem-solver, team player, good time-manager, effective communicator, self-motivator
Possessing the necessary computer skills and IT background needed to be effective in an analytical role.
Proficient computer skills and strong technical skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Retail Link
Strong analytical and cognitive skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Entrepreneurial and proactive in communication
Previous work experience with syndicated data a plus to have
Self-directed and highly motivated
Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced competitive environment
Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in an office environment.
Working environment is both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to related equipment and noise levels
