The purpose of the role

Our HR promise is to attract, develop and retain the talent for growth, set the organizational structure and foster a purpose driven strategy. The Sr HR Advisor will be key in identifying as well executing activities that contribute to our promise. She/he has a proven track record as HR-generalist.  As a member of the local HR team, he/she is an outspoken team player driven by customer focus and making the future better. She/he will report to the HR Business Partner and will be closely working together with the HR-coordinator.

 

Responsibilities

Advisory role:

  • Assist, advice and coach the local first line leaders in their day to day people role

Payroll/Comp&Ben:

  • Owner of the payroll process for Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany
  • Ensure consistency in the compensation policies
  • Proactively update our comp&ben policy
  • Support the annual salary review process

Social Dialogue:

  • Prepare and follow up recurrent social dialogue/consultation with trade unions.
  • Assist the Workers Council as advisor
  • Support management in individual labor relations.

HR Systems and Reporting:

  • Manages our HR systems together with the HR-coordinator:
  • Dayforce: payrolling
  • SuccessFactors: performance management/development
  • Provides training to new employees on the use of systems, and to all employees in any new functionality
  • Ensures Time & Attendance policy is well conducted by all managers and employees (working register hours, leaves…)
  • Frequent reporting on HR metrics

 Recruitment and onboarding:

  • Liase with the hiring managers to source profiles via LinkedIn or other relevant channels
  • Schedule & prepare interviews and assessments.
  • Assist with candidate interviews
  • Liaise with operations in contacts with the temp agencies to ensure consistency in contracts, onboarding, invoicing
  • Manage the HR-onboarding
  • Ensures together with the HR Business Partner a customer focused recruitment process and onboarding.

Employer Branding:

  • Ensures together with the HR Business Partner that the recruitment process and onboarding strengthen our employer branding
  • Takes initiatives to make Griffith Foods Herentals visible in the regional labor market

Projects and other responsibilities:

  • The HR function is evolving and there are multiple projects, ongoing and new, that require attention at any time. 
  • There will be occasions when the projects may need immediate action, but this will be on an ‘as and when’ necessary basis

 

Your profile

  • Minimum qualification:  Bachelor/Master in HR, law business administration
  • Language skills: Dutch: Fluent, English:  Very good knowledge, German: Basic knowledge
  • Computer skills: MS Office, very good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience as HR-generalist
  • Knowledge of HRIS (payroll, employee database, time and attendance systems)
  • Recruitment: Knowledge of (CBI) interviews, assessment tools
  • Good communicator and emotionally intelligent
  • Analytical mind undeterred by needing to look for information and/or detailed data
